Billy Stamato
I began my journey in strength soon after leaving the Marine Corps in 2016. After being a mindless meat head for years, I found powerlifting. After losing the sense of community I felt while serving on active duty as an infantryman I quickly found that again with this sport. Since that time I have competed in various meets across all different federations, at all different levels, around different parts of the country. I have built up a 1697 lb total in the 198 lb weight class and hold a 500 DOTS. I also am a level 1 Powerlifting United referee here in New Jersey. I spent years training all types of clients in a commercial and private gym setting before I focused my efforts solely on strength coaching.
On the personal side, I currently work as a career firefighter and have been on the job since 2016. I also serve in the NJ Army National Guard as an infantry instructor. Iām married to an amazing wife and we have one crazy toddler. I say all this to demonstrate that even as someone as busy as me, I can still manage to train and compete at high level. I am not your average full time coach that lives and dies in front of a computer screen all day.
